I have past experience with stacked front load laundry and this one is very good also with a few minor exceptions. 1. Please add a slow roll at the end of the wash cycle that will dislodge the wet items stuck to the drum walls from a very efficient extraction spin. The laundry must otherwise be pulled free while on hand and knees and wrinkles get set if removal is delayed. A firmware upgrade can accomplish this me thinks. 2. Adding laundry additives such as dry bleach substitutes while using liquid HE detergents has no proper way to be handled. Most say to dump into drum where it falls through with the likelihood of mucking up a pump or other while dissolving. I tried to premix and add to bleach dispenser only to find unused residue mucking up the dispenser. 3. Lastly the unlit indicators could use a little illumination to assist choosing alternate programs or features. Bright ambient room lighting make all but fully illuminated items undecipherable. 4. The dryer Static eliminate feature just spurts water splotches on fabric. Other that that this is a great appliance Cleaning and fabric handling via cycle sharing between wash dry is a great feature. I bought this wash tower but didnt get delivered right away. Now that I have it I love the large capacity so that I have less wash loads. I am a little disappointed when wash is finished that water remains on the grey rubber seal and in the hollow of seal. I do dry it with towel. Thinking in this day and age it would be much improved. My last machine was not a LG did the same thing and got moldy no matter how I tried to dry seal. It was still in great working order. So this is a little frustrating Originally posted on lg.com

Sometimes the drying sensor is not working. Dryer shuts down before clothes are finished drying. I like the tower and controls. Washer does a good job cleaning clothes. Originally posted on lg.com

We are so happy that we purchased this LG washer/dryer appliance to replace a 5+ year old leaky and very noisy competitors stacked washer and dryer. We had repair folks out 3 times but they could not solve the common problem issue so we decided to replace the units rather than dump more money which might not result in an acceptable solution. The washer is very quiet and the clothes are almost dry after the spin cycle. The dryer is also very quiet and the clothes dry quickly. Originally posted on lg.com

Renovated the old laundry room and designed everything to accommodate the WashTower. The sleek design and size of this unit was single factor that made our new laundry room / bathroom beautiful and a functional addition to our home. The WashTower is extremely user friendly. Controls and height of doors make for easy access. Water usage is way less than conventional washer and the drying time is faster and pre determined. So many great functions to this unit. LG has a great reputation and comes highly recommended. After 6+ years of trouble free reliable service with the largest LG stand -alone front-loading washer dryer Im not sure of the model numbers but they were the largest available we decided to upgrade with the new Single Unite Front Load LG Washtower w/4.4cu.Ft. Washer 7. 4cu.Ft electric dryer. Nothing was wrong with the washer or dryer we just thought it was time to upgrade. We had the new unit delivered and installed by certified team from Lowes. We loved the somewhat smaller footprint and combo idea. However we are really disappointed with the washer performance compared to the old LG washer. The new washer does not consistently drain. When it does drain the laundry comes out much wetter than the old LG washer. We also find it louder than the previous LG model. The newer LG Washtower definitely has more bells whistles than previous models That said were interested in trouble free performance: washing drying laundry. Unfortunately the Washtower under performs. Ive reached out to Lowes to let them know about the issue. Happy to provide an update as soon as I hear back. Originally posted on lg.com

I am still getting used to my new tower washer and dryer but am enjoying it so far. It is much quieter than any washer/dryer that Ive had in the past. I love how it tells you how much time your load is going to take so you know how much time you have to do something else why waiting for the load to finish. This unit replaced a 16 year old washer and a 21 year old dryer - so it is a vast improvement. I live in a condo and the washer and dryer are in the passage from the unit to the garage so there is limited space. The old washer and dryer fit side-by-side but the space is so shallow that any new side-by-side options would block the exit door so stacking was the only option. My neighbors with the same floor plan have stacked LG washer/dryers. I love that this unit is pre-stacked and the controls are in the center. It washes and dries much more efficiently than my old models. The only downside is that when the dryer door is open the latch is just about eye level - and I have to get around the door to carry laundry in. I only needed a new dryer. When I saw this one piece unit I was sold I love the touch pad in the center of the the washer and dryer. Have used this washer dryer combination for about two months now. Pros: Central control panel makes it easy to change settings for washer or dryer. Having an all in one unit makes it space saving in my hall laundry area. Cons: extremely fast spin cycle of washer can sound like a turbojet engine. Lint trap in dryer has nooks and crannies that are hard to clean out when cleaning the filter. Having to wipe down washer glass and rubber gasket after every load can be annoying. I bought my unit two months ago I love the convenience of having a washer and dryer in one unit to clean my clothes. I like the settings theyre easy to set and the dryer setting matches the last load washed you can also add extra dry time if needed. I have a small laundry room and was crowded with a side by side washer/dryer and a huge water heater. A tankless water heater and my new LG Tower freed up enough space to install a sink and a water softener. The efficiency of the electric dryer is amazing and the washer does a medium load in 1/3 less time. If youre looking for space savings and high efficiency the LG wash tower is a great choice. We purchased our new washer/dryer tower back in February. We couldnt be more pleased with the purchase. It replaced an older smaller unit and fit almost exactly in the same footprint. The wash and dry volume of laundry is nearly twice the size of our old unit which allows for washing and drying of bedspreads and other similar large items. Its a smart unit that minimizes water use and run times. I would highly recommend this unit for those who have limited space for traditional washers and dryers. I was hesitant to buy a front load washer. Not sure it would get my clothes clean. After using it for a month I love it It cleans well. The washing capacity is great. I did not think a man could get excited about a machine maybe a new gun or truck. My kids insisted I get the tower because my wife 84 me 85 had to go down the basement to do washing. So the Tower came to my house. I have never been around a washing machine that works so silently efficiently and turns out clothes that are amazingly not only clean but fluffy and soft like brand new. I am the boss of the wash day duty now and thrill to see how the pair work during the several cycles. The LG technology is just fantastic. Bought this a month ago and it really lives up to all the billing and positive reviews. We added the WashTower upstairs to allow our older children living downstairs to use our older LG setup for their laundry needs. The WashTower has all the features you could ever want in a compact setup. Yet I t still has the necessary capacity for family laundry needs. The mobile alerts through the LG ThinQ app keep you on task and keep the loads moving. My wife and I wished we had this when we first bought our house. Serious timesaver for multi-level homes. I was looking for a washer dryer stack that didnt look like the unit in my first apartment 40 years ago. I wanted a sleeker design and the space savings that a stackable unit provides. Installing this unit immediately gave me back half my laundry cupboard with full size capacity It is quieter and doesnt walk when the spin cycle is high. The only drawback was the price. Overall wish I didnt purchase. Dont see how its energy efficient when the cycles are sooo long 1-1 1/2 hours. Getting laundry done is killing my time. Also doesnt allow in most cycles for you to choose the water temp you prefer. Clothes do come out very clean. Originally posted on lg.com

THE INSTALLATION WENT WELL AND SO FAR IT IS WORKING FINE. THE DRYNESS SENSOR COULD BE A LITTLE MORE ACCURATE BECAME SOME ITEMS REMAINED DAMP. ALSO I WOULD HAVE LIKED A TIMING OPTION ON THE DRYER THAT IS LESS THAN 20 MINUTES MINIMUM THAT EXISTS NOW. Originally posted on lg.com
