The technology is proven but poorly executed by LG. Primarily it is impossible to clean the in line drain filter without making a mess. Secondarily We have 2 of these installed. One stopped drying and service is not available in the San Francisco bay area Originally posted on lg.com

Bought this combo as an only solution to a condo with no hook ups or dryer vents and am surprisingly happy with the machine. A bit expensive but think of the technology it took to design. Also LG signature service is outstanding. Yes it takes longer than a.traditional washer dryer but again it does an exceptional job. I have a home on the mainland with with traditional large capacity washer dryer and when Im in Honolulu just adjust my wash load size to fit this amazing system. Normal laundry cycles run about 3 hours. Just put the clothes in and let the machine do the rest. Also sometimes the clothes feel a bit damp when they come out but a quick shake or two and they feel completely dry. Finally I was a bit surprised at how much thus does hold I was expecting one pair of jeans and a shirt to full it but seriously it will wash and dry a decent load in 3 hours. We have had this item well under a year and water started draining out the bottom about a month ago. A repairman was sent twice and was unable to fix it. He kept having to call technicians because he had not worked on this item before. After having our ceiling damaged from the leak twice i told him the machine needed to be replaced I am hoping and praying that the new unit works properly Originally posted on lg.com

We converted a tiny space where our hot water heater had been into a laundry room so needed a ventless system that was compact. The washer works great and fast the dryer takes a long time to dry so you have to plan ahead for one load a day if you plan to dry it. We have had some issues with draining but LG has been amazing in coming to fix it for us. Originally posted on lg.com

The washer is great and the technology is very good. It does take longer then the traditional washer and dryer however it is nice to not have to try to remember to put the washed clothes into the dryer. I do have one complaint the design of the door that covers the laundry soap/softener container and the drain clean out is TERRIBLE When you flip the door open the door is in the way so you cant put a bucket under the clean out. If the door has to be there to make those that care about how it looks happy put a shoot on the drain so that the water drains PAST the door. I had to make my own. And Yes I do know that it has a drain hose HOWEVER if you have pets like I do the drain hose does not get all of the water out because the pet hair human hair maybe a stray tissue that was in your pocket fills the drain filter basket and backs up and holds the water back. So when you pull that drain out the basket comes with it and so does the hair which causes a FLOOD of water This issue is NOT only because it is a washer/dryer combo this is the design of the drain Originally posted on lg.com

After almost a year of owning the unit it broke down. I had been unaware how much our house used the machine until the laundry quickly piled up. Sadly after 2 LG technician visits it still isnt fixed yet and I am spending hundreds at a laundry mat. We purchased this in 2019. We like the features. The one problem we have is the fabric softner will not automatically dispense anymore. It hasnt done so for months. The Washer dryer combo is easy because you dont have to remember to take out the clothes to put in the dryer. However my clothes always come out wrinkly even if taken out timely. Its an extra hassle to have to run the iron more. A lot of lint gets stuck behind the rubber opening its hard to clean that area. Not a lot of clothes can fit in the machine. Overall Id give it a 4/5 because I am not used to this system but keep in mind its doing good for the environment. Originally posted on lg.com

This machine looks beautiful and as a washer/dryer goes its fairly standard. However this machine has a HUGE FLAW that is not advertised. You cannot wash anything smaller the size of a washcloth or smaller in this machine. that means no socks no underwear no baby clothes nothing. Theres a setting for baby clothing which is hilarious We have had the machine for 2 years and have had to have it repaired ie someone has to come completely take it apart and find the clogat least 5x. Its been a different thing each time. Each time we think were safe and each time something incrementally larger gets stuck. We were instructed to use laundry bags to wash our things in already an inconvenience and things still somehow get stuck. Its truly a marvel of crummy engineering. Weve wasted so much money on the repair of this machine because after the first clog the warranty no longer covers it. If you are a person who has socks underwear wash cloths childrens clothing hand towels or anything else that normal people might need to wash DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. Originally posted on lg.com

This washer/dryer combo has a lot of issues... but the biggest issue is that it rusted out through the bottom only 1 year 5 months after my purchase date I just got off the phone with LG and they refuse to help. The fact that they are ok with producing a VERY EXPENSIVE product that fails less than 2 years later is horrible. This company does not stand behind their products. A few years ago I was building my tiny house and wasnt satisfied with the reviews I was seeing for other combo units so I didnt buy one for the longest time. I continued to research and found that LG was going to be releasing this one within a couple years. I waited until it was available and ordered it and havent been disappointed at all Its a beautiful unit and works really well. I dont know what else to say other than I love all of the features. Its surpassed the typical lifespan of a standard combo unit and I dont see that changing any time soon. Originally posted on lg.com

I bought this several months ago from home depot and quickly became aware of a major defect in the design. The first month I had to use a cookie sheet to drain the reservoir at least 4 times in order to remove the filter to clean it. The crazy drain tube is in the bottom of the machine so no way to get a bucket or anything other than a 1/2 cookie sheet to drain it. BTW it takes 7 cookie sheets and about 25 minutes to drain so you can remove the filter to clean. I thought that this was only when it clogged during use but no anytime you need to clean the filter you get to play the cookie sheet game. I have complained to Homdepot who told me I needed to have returned it within 48 hr of receipt and referred me to LG. I have a called LG and opened a complaint but no response. You would think that when you buy a top of the line product that they would want to keep the customer happy. My wife hates this machine and is not happy - I am not happy I had to wait a month for delivery of this only to find out what kind of a nightmare I have purchased. So much high technology - programmable wiFi but what an idiotic design for the basic plumbing. Avoid this machine like the plague. Originally posted on lg.com
