After about a month of intermittent use the unit is performing up to expectations. Of course the real test is longevity. It remains to be seen if it will still work next cooling season. I hope so.

I bought this for my elderly parents. The a/c they had was old and stopped cooling the apartment. It never really worked great. That are so happy with this one. It reaches into the kitchen and all and they love the comfort of the remote control.

Exactly What We Expected

Weve had this unit for several months and last month our old LG Thru-the-wall unit finally surrendered after 13 years. We installed the LT1216CER just before a long intense hot spell covered our area. We knew of the LG quality and reliability and this unit provides great cooling. We set ours on auto and the unit does the rest. Very pleased.

Our apartment complex replaced all our wall ACs with these things and they are the loudest AC Ive ever encountered to the point I cannot run it when trying to sleep which is wonderful as its often 90+ at night. There is no difference in sound level between the fan speeds. I measured the noise level and it runs at nearly 80 db not 60-65 like the listing claims. All three units in our apartment are that loud. The lights for settings/temp control are also very bright but cannot be turned off. If you are sensitive to light when trying to sleep have fun.

Very Disappointed

We purchased two a/c units for use in an apartment building for a customer of ours. One unit worked fine. The other unit had a broken fan blade upon arrival and just hummed when we started it. This was an upper apartment with a couple with a baby. We didnt have time for the authorized repair dealer ordered the new blade and repaired it so we purchased a 3rd unit. We checked the box for damage and started it up before we installed it. Same thing. Just hummed and fan not turning. We ended up ordering a 4th unit so we would could provide cooling. Now we have two extra a/c units waiting for repair. NOT REAL HAPPY.

So Pleased

We actually purchased our new LG air conditioner last fall but couldnt find anyone to install it so left it in our storage shed over the winter. Great timing- we had it installed and in three days we had several 90 degree days. We were so pleased that our new unit cooled our entire three bedroom home 1250 sq ft. We even had to turn it down.
