We have had our LG 1762ST over a year ago and the lock feature is a huge problem. More than once our housekeeper innocently cleaning has disabled our unit on more than one occasion. I just purchased four appliances at Lowes for a remodel because on Black Friday it stated that I would get ten percent off. I didnt. The store that had the sign had no clue as to how you get that 10 percent off. My reason for mentioning this is that I am dismayed that right now my LG1760ST is useless and I have serious doubts concerning my purchase. Help. I have called technical support which failed last time. This time I have tried at least twenty times what worked last time searching the internet for more suggestions. I dont think its supposed to be like this. As for recommending right now in this instance Id say no. Do something impressive please before I have to cancel my order at Lowes Houma La 70364 waiting to deliver upon my notification. Originally posted on lg.com

The microwave looks and operates great and was very simple to install. There are only three small issues I have with this oven. 1. The exhaust fan is very loud When my wife and I are cooking together it is hard to have a conversation even when she is standing right next to me. 2. The range light is pretty dim. I am however going to get a brighter bulb im sure that will correct the issue. 3. The vent covers on the bottom of the oven fall out with the slightest bump or shut of the door. I think one time I sneezed in the front room and made the vent cover fall out...hahaha just kidding that didnt really happen. Originally posted on lg.com

i only had it a few weeks it has been making a spark like noise when i enter the time hit start. I called tech support they are sending someone out. No frills and you get what you pay for. Exactly what we were looking for. A simple to use and reliable unit. Down sides are the installation templates were frustratingly inaccurate. When I realized this I had to apply multiple repetitive measurements to ensure an accurate installation. Also 30 watts for lighting both inside and outside of the microwave is low to an extreme. It has all of the features I need and evenly cooks at lower times on same power than on my previous mike. The look is sleek and gives the appearance of being smaller with all the ample space inside. I personally like that the interior is charcoal gray in color making it much easier to clean. I have LG washer and dryer LG refrigerator and an LG dehumidifier - not because I an obsessed about everything matching brand-wise but because they have all served me well and are obviously well made. Weve only had it about a month and we really dont use it alot. But now that we are learning all of the features we are really starting to like it. This microwave does everything we need to do on a daily basis. It has one touch settings for all common tasks. This microwave is a little cheaper grade then our last. The door is light but doesnt instill confidence. The highest negatives are it finger prints like crazy and its a tad loud. Nice unit both visually and in its constructions. Very good value for its price. A few notes on potential improvements. 1 The interior is a dark grey. A lighter color color would make process viewing easier. 2 It does not have a timer function i.e. setting a timer as needed. You can select zero power and then set a cooking time at zero power but this is not intuitive. 3 The install instructions could be a bit more user friendly. Its not impossible but some directions need to be reread to understand what is being demonstrated. 4 The mounting bracket provided is not as useful as the previously used U-shaped style mounting bracket.
