Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

We have the same model in both our primary and secondary residents and love them. Easy to control cooking temp.

Works well (when it works)

Mike 9/8/2019

This is a great unit when it works, but since installation, we've repeatedly had it start randomly beeping and become totally unresponsive. The only way to reset it is to flip the breaker in the panel on the side of the house. We've had the unit for almost 2 years now and just been living with the issue (it only happens about once every week or so) but I should have addressed it earlier by calling Bosch as it is well out of warranty even though it was delivered with this problem. At first, we thought we were doing something wrong with the pans or water on the top, but Googling this issue I see that there are others who have experienced the exact symptoms. I was just quoted $129 for a technician call-out fee plus $40 every 15 minutes... YIKES. Seems like some of these units have an inherent defect so might want to stay clear.

Excellent - when it works

JTHT 9/8/2019

When this cooktop works it's excellent - but the control panel has been difficult to operate since we bought it, shutting on and off, beeping out of nowhere when the unit is supposedly powered down or simply refusing to turn on or off. It's made cooking with it a chore and now that it simply refuses to turn on it's made it impossible. We are now having to call Bosch for service - something we've never experienced with any other product from Bosch we've bought in the past.

Main Board Design Problem?

Jimmy 8/12/2019

Two weeks after initial delivery of the unit in October 2017 certain functions wouldnt work. Bosch had a local tech come out, and they decided to replace the main board under warranty. About 3 months ago, now that warranty has of course expired, the on/off switch control in the new board has apparently failed and the unit is now unusable. Bosch Tech Service now says my only recourse is to call the tech back. But this time, it'll be on me after not quite 2 years. You just don't expect these kinds of failures in a $2200 Bosch device. Now I'm wondering when the microwave, wall oven, and refrigerator (all Bosch and all bought at the same time for my kitchen reno will fail. All this after I thought Bosch was more of a high end product.

Good feeling so far

YardBird 1/27/2019

I've had my new cooktop for just a couple of days and have a good feeling so far. Compared to my last induction cooktop, a hybrid model from Electrolux, the Bosch seems better thought out, and just has a nice feeling of quality. I appreciated the simplicity of the install guide - just a few pages. And the controls, which some users found confusing, are quite straightforward, if you spend a bit of time with the guide - which you should! After all, none of us are born knowing how to operate an induction range. I immediately put the flex area to use with a very large oval casserole I often use to make chili - the "join" feature is a great design, and the reason I went for the Benchmark line. And I'm looking forward to using the power shift and individual timer features. Finally, the ability to lock the settings for a half-minute or so while you wipe the control area clean is a great example of Bosch's consumer-oriented thinking. You might think I'm shilling this thing unless I pick out a couple of nits, so here they are - what, really, is the difference between the extra power and extra speed features? One seems to relate more to boiling water, and the other to heating a saucepan, maybe, but what do they actually do differently? Why do we need them both? Finally, Bosch's manual states explicitly not to use a heat diffuser to employ non-magnetic cookware like clay, stone, or copper pots. Specialized heat diffusers, aka conversion plates in the induction world, are really quite common and are sold by any number of very reputable vendors. Does Bosch really just want users to be cautious? What is the actual issue? This is important to me because I have a beautiful Moroccan clay tagine, a heavy Brazilian soapstone pot made for feijoa and similar stews, and some lovely large copper pots that I was intending to use with this range, over no more than medium or medium high heat. These are special-occasion cookware, really, but it's a big deal not to be able to use them at all. Anwyay, moving on - so far, the unit looks and cooks great and is working exactly as advertised.

Love this Cooktop - Now

Suzieq 12/12/2018

I wanted an induction cooktop for our kitchen remodel. I researched and found this one. Unfortunately, the touch panel was bad from the get go. We would have to shut the breaker off to reset the cooktop. But, after they replaced the circuit board under the touch panel controls it's been a dream come true.

Love it but have had trouble with it

Epatjn 12/11/2018

We love this cooktop. Love the easy cleaning and the rapid boost boil. Do not like that we have had trouble with it turning off and being problematic if any water even drips on top of the controls. Working with Bosch on warranty repair but local appliance repair took the first one out and couldn't get it flat when they put it back in. This is a warranty replacement and I do not want that to happen again!! Repair guy has never seen or repaired one. Hmmmm. Repair folks should have more experience for sure.

tkay 3/25/2018

ordered and paid for this cooktop over a month ago along with several other Bosch appliances. This cooktop was not delivered with the other items. I had to call to find out why. They could not answer. Received an email later saying item is on backorder until 19th. Its now 25th and still no cooktop. Called again 3 days ago they said they would get back to me and still no answer. Mean while my kitchen counters and granite installation have been delayed and still no idea where my item is.

Mommccabe 3/14/2018

My cooktop was installed Monday replacing a 20 year old Bosch model. I can make scrambled eggs in 2 minutes!! Life just got quicker and easier! Without the knobs, cleanup is a breeze. If you're on the fence don't be. Best decision we ever made!

Loving our new Bosch cooktop!

Surely bwh 2/18/2018

We bought this cooktop as a replacement for another induction cooktop. And I am really pleased with. The control panel seemed complicated, but is very intuitive. I have found that I have to be careful otherwise I'm adjusting things I didn't mean to! This cooktop also seems a bit more sensitive, so our cast iron skillet wouldn't work well because it has a smoke ring on it. Overall, it works great. And has features that I didn't even know I needed. I have found the Cook Timer (burner shuts off when time is up) to be the best feature that I didn't even know I needed. Very versatile.

Excellent Appliance, Love Mine! *Lockout remedy*

Austin 2/1/2018

I'm a homebuilder and have been specifying Bosch appliances for years. We have for the most part had great success with them, and the few exceptions have been addressed. I finally built my personal home last year and selected this cooktop. I cook about 5-6 nights per week, and this cooktop is my workhorse. I love being able to set timers on specific zones, and when the timer goes off the zone shuts down. Super helpful with dishes that need precise timing. Plus, with minimal residual heat (except for the cooking vessel), there is no need to move the pot/pan off the zone when done (e.g. rice, couscous). The main reason, however, I am writing this review is to help out "Jeff" and others experiencing the flashing zeros and shutdown of the appliance until you flip the breaker. I too experienced this, once while preparing Thanksgiving! Super frustrating, and usually when it happens the tech phone line isn't a ton of help (after hours). I think I have finally gotten to the bottom of it. My electrician had run 4 wire to the appliance and the neutral was wired in to the panel and the appliance. Per Bosch's wiring instructions, 3 wire is to be used with black+red+ground. So, if you are having this issue take a look and see if you also have a neutral connected (a pretty common way of wiring a cooktop). A licensed electrician can open your panel and pull the neutral and cap it off if thats the case (no need to remove the appliance from the counter). The other way I have discovered that a lockout can occur, is wiping a wet rag across the controls. I tend to do this if I have something spill. And that seems to trigger a lockout. Since paying attention to this and addressing the neutral, things are running smooth!

So far, this has not been a good experience

Jeff 1/29/2018

We ordered this a few weeks ago, got it installed this weekend and we were so excited to use it. Almost right away I should've know something was up. It randomly locks up with flashing "0.0" with a really loud beeping and doesn't stop until we shut off the breaker. It does this even when we haven't touched it for hours! When it kicked up its nonsense at 9 pm while we were watching TV last night I had enough and permanently shut off the breaker. So now we don't have something to cook on. I did manage to cook on it one time, and when it worked it was great, but it would randomly shut off, lock up, or change the power levels. There aren't any error codes being thrown. I called customer support and they were no help, only saying that they had to send a factory tech, at the (potential) cost of $129 visit fee and $120 an hour. I'm really worried that I've made a $2200 mistake, and then some after tech visit. I'm really disappointed in Bosch. I thought we were buying the best.

So far we love it

Jeff 1/28/2018

We have only had it for a week now but after researching many cook tops for a kitchen remodel that was long overdo we selected this model My wife has always wanted gas but our home was not piped for gas and we cook extensively. Wow the heat control over each zone is amazing. Still getting used to the controls and features. We do however wish the documentation of use was better. The unit was somewhat challenging for a late 50 year old to figure out and the unit is a big jump ahead in technology from our 1991 unit it replaced. No problem using our existing All Clad pots and cast iron pans. Flexinduction feature is pretty cool.

Absolutely love it!

Dale813 12/23/2017

I received my new Bosch Induction Cooktop w FlexInduction cooking zone and let me tell you I love it! When cooking on my old electric only Bosch cooktop I often moved the pan off the heat to slow or adjust the cooking heat. Now with FlexInduction it is much easier to control the heat to the food. The elements will automatically adjust to a mid-range temp or to just warm by following the pan movement. How cool is that! Bringing water, broth, whatever to a boil is lightening fast! It really is less than a minute. My previous electric only Bosch cooktop took sometimes 10 minutes to boil (larger pots of water for pasta esp.). Speed boost and short boost is going to save me time waiting for a boil! I needed to replace about half my current cookware with new induction capable cookware. Some of my tried and true pots were moved aside but this allowed me to upgrade on a few saucepans I had been putting off. These added to the expense of the cooktop as a whole but once the sting of the initial investment is gone this cooktop and the upgraded cookware will give me years and years of service and allow me to easily create the food I want (and need) to feed my family.

Potential is Great

Epatjn 11/2/2017

I bought this 2-weeks and ago and I want to use it! The speed with which it heats the pan and the water is truly amazing. However, my cook-top shuts off on unexpectedly and often, and now I can't get it to turn back on. At first I thought it was us not knowing how to use it, and while I would prefer a whole new cook-top as it's only 14-d old, I'm getting the motherboard sent out and while I wait for that, it won't turn on. I had read so much about it and the quality products, I'm hoping this is a fluke. I'll post again when it is 'repaired' (only 14 days!)

CookOmaha 10/18/2017

What a great looking stove top. Easy installation and requires a 30amp circuit which is for my mid-century house. The controls are intuitive and an easy switch from my 60 year old electric coil top with knobs. The control is accurate and amazing. Water heats faster than I can believe and the fine temperature control allows me to take the guesswork out of cooking!

How did I cook before!!

Momofhungry3 8/9/2017

It took me 30 seconds to learn to use induction and 2 minutes to realize I will never have anything else in my kitchen! We've had this Bosch cooktop installed for just shy of a month and love it - instant power control, lightning fast boiling and pan heat up, safety shut offs, countdown timer (and who would have guessed how useful a count UP timer would be!), easy to clean (but rarely really needed), sleek look, and so space frugal that I have a handy new drawer underneath for those long handled cooking utensils. I am so happy with this choice!
