Hood is finally mounted, but instructions are bad at best. I have been remodeling homes my whole life (50 + years) and it took me most of the day to get this hood installed. Then after verifying everything was correct, the lights didnt work so then I contacted KitchenAid to get a service appointment for a tech to come onsite and tell me the switch was bad. We bought our Kitchenaid vent hood in May and love it. We do a lot of cooking and this hood does a fantastic job keeping the kitchen free of smoke and cooking odors. We installed the canopy in our kitchen remodel project. The only problem we had was in the positioning of the vent duct in depth. I installed this at a height to accommodate my wife who is 5' tall, I'm 6' when I bend over I hit the edge of the hood whose corners are extremely sharp; I had to pad the corners until I had completed.
