I was hesitant to purchase the kitchen hub but I'm glad we did. It does everything we want and more than we didn't even know we wanted. The processor has a slight fan sound but it's hardly noticeable and not even as loud as the running refrigerator. There's a bit of a delay in speed comparing it to something like an iPad but overall its great. Originally posted on www.ge.com

The family hub is working ok, I like the features it has to plan and help with cooking. The os needs updated, fan doesn't come on when using connected ge cooktop. Recirculating fan mode is extremely loud in any speed. It sounds like the deflector for the recirculation is not designed to be used that way. We bought this to top off our complete kitchen remodel. We went back and forth between Samsung's smart hub fridge but this was a much better fit for us. This thing has access to just about every app out there as it has full Android support unlike the Samsung refrigerator. This was a great choice as my wife really wanted something to assist in making meals for the family. She got that and so much more. Needless to say she loves it and it has been getting a lot of use in very practical ways. From displaying the family calendar schedule to controlling our echobee thermostat this thing is amazing! Many have criticized this appliance and for the life of me I can't see why. It takes the power and convenience of your phone to the heart of your home, the kitchen all in a neat practical package. We didn't need a microwave as ours is built in on the adjacent wall, so for us this was perfect! Although GE announced that a microwave version will be available later this year for those who need it. So far we love our smart hub range hood and hope to get many years of use out of it! I would never have chosen this item on my own. It was in the house I bought. However, I was DISMAYED to find out what it was. After trying it a few times, I disabled it and haven't turned it on since. Here are my issues with it: 1) Not a microwave 2) No option to manually turn on the vent fan; can only be done through wifi connection or heat sensors, and didn't seem to work when we tested it 3) Screen height is too high 4) WiFi connectivity + motion sensors + camera = super invasive 5) Large and ugly 6) If I needed another screen, I'd just buy an iPad 7) It's unclear to me why anyone would want to connect their kitchen appliances 8) Interface is not intuitive 9) Pointless. Love all the features available on this hood! I can be cooking and play music or watch a show/ movie! I can video chat while cooking if I'm sharing a recipe! I absolutely love it! Plus vent covers are easy to clean as well as monitor screen. Originally posted on www.ge.com

Purchase this product and December 2019 along with stove microwave and dishwasher. Unit was installed on December 26, 2019. The unit is now totally black and not working as of January 12, 2020. Side light indicator is lite and a noise of internal fan seems to be turning, but no display at all. This comes a day after the dishwasher has to be replaced for the third time. We love the GE kitchen hub! However, there should be a manual included to explain some of the android features. I called the GE technical support and they were unable to help as this is a new product and was told they did not have manuals for the Android features. We are pleased with the lighting and the vent features as well as the ability to go to the Google store and download available apps. Originally posted on www.ge.com

I call it my assistant, because it does all that I need it to do from recipes, answering questions I might have ,to mood music, to how to videos to face time phone calls, etc, etc.... the only think it doesn't do is actually cook the meal itself. I love it!!! Originally posted on www.ge.com
