After using an inferior product for a few months, that required most loads to be run through two times to get clothes dry, my new GE dryer is amazing! I have only had this dryer a few months now but so far it is great. It dries clothes consistently. I bought this to replace a dryer we had that technically still worked but had a horrible squealing noise while running. I specifically wanted a dryer that did not have an electronic panel, a delicate setting and a lint screen that was not on top and this fit the bill. Originally posted on www.ge.com

I've gone from a huge dryer that was 10 years old to this GE. I have to be honest and say I could dry clothes faster in the old dryer, but the GE just takes about 10 minutes longer for the same load. I think once I get used to it I won't even remember the old one! I bought the GE washer first, so I needed to complete the set. I wish I had put more thought into it and bought a higher end pair. I purchased this dryer because of the simplicity of its features. The dryer we had before was fancy with all the buttons and we were constantly fixing it. This dryer came highly recommended and so far we love it. It is easy to use and when the washer goes bad, we will definitely be looking at getting the matching washer to our dryer. I've been using the dryer for about 1 month now. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it is, (for a dryer). I am happy about the fact that I can actually turn off the signal which is great when running the dryer at night. I love the extended drying feature. I cannot always get my cloths out the minute the drying cycle is finished. The extended drying feature keeps tumbling to keep the clothes wrinkle free until I can get to the dryer. I bought this dryer to replace a GE Profile that was 12 years old. It was still working perfectly, but I wanted to buy a matching pair and my old GE Profile washer needed repairs. I hope my new dryer is as durable and reliable as my old dryer. Time will tell.
